Vutter is proudly made from very few ingredients that most people will recognize:
no preservatives, colours, flavours or numbers - only real food!

We carefully select our ingredients to create the perfect blends that are not only delicious, but clean. Our products are artisan, minimally processed and free from all common allergens.

We do not use palm oil in any of our products, and our Vutter's are all made at low temperature to preserve the quality of our oils and the clean taste of our products.

What makes Vutter a solid block, like butter, is the high content of coconut oil - nearly 60%.

This is the main difference between Vutter and other dairy free spreads & margarines.

Those are usually hydrogenated and over heated at very high temperatures, which compromises the oils and taste profile.

Vutter is where delicious meets healthy! A unique concept that brings food back to basics.

We are committed to creating tasty vegan alternatives that are not packed with unnecessary chemicals which are not only unhealthy for us, but for our soils & planet.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil

The base of our products! Many studies have found that coconut lowers the LDL - aka the 'bad cholesterol' found in animal products - while it raises the HDL, or the 'good cholesterol'. Vutter is made from nearly 60% Coconut oil - certified by the Rain Forest Alliance

Certified coconuts are grown in accordance with the strict guidelines of the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard that takes a holistic approach, addressing environmental, social, and economic impacts. These include the farm’s productivity, conserving biodiversity and natural resources and improving the wellbeing of farmers, workers, and their families. Learn more here

Sunflower Lecithin

Lecithin is essential to our body. Sunflower lecithin is rich in choline and other essential fatty acids and some people even take it as a dietary supplement. Sunflower Lecithin supplements are commonly used for many things, such as lower cholesterol, help improve digestion, acne, liver function etc. To put simply, it helps break down fats in the liver! The Sunflower Lecithin that we use in our Vutter's is Non-GMO certified and it comes from India.

Apple cider vinegar is a vinegar made from fermented apple juice. The one we used in our Vutters is Certified Organic and made in New Zealand with Bio Gro Certified Organic apples.

The ACV is raw, unpasteurized, unfiltered, naturally fermented and it adds that beautiful lactic taste to our Vutter that is comparable to cultured butters.

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Himalayan Rock Salt

Himalayan rock salt has a mild mineral taste that adds just enough salt to our products. Mineral salts usually contain trace amounts of iron oxide (rust), which gives it a pink color. It also has small amounts of calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium, making it lower in sodium than regular table salt. It just ads the perfect salty taste to our Vutter.

Turmeric - Certified Organic

Turmeric is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant and is well known for its amazing health benefits. When we were developing Vutter, our food technologist insisted that we used a different "colouring" component to avoid possible discoloration due to high UV light usually from chillers in supermarkets... Yes there are many so called 'natural' food colours, but Turmeric was always our first choice. There is a reason it has been used for century as a natural medicine - for both the body & the soul 🧡"let thy food be thy medicine"🧡 Our Turmeric is also BIO Gro certified Organic

Organic Turmeric
Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp oil is oil obtained by pressing hemp seeds. The oil contained in the hemp seed is 75-80% polyunsaturated fatty acids (the good fats) and only 9-11% of the lesser desired saturated fatty acids. The essential fatty acids (EFAs) contained in hemp seed oil are required in our diet more than any other vitamin, yet our bodies do not naturally produce them. Our Hemp seed oil is Cold Pressed, Extra Virgen, spray free and it's grown right here in Aotearoa

Packed with vitamins B and C, manganese, selenium, iron, copper and potassium, garlic may be small, but its benefits are mighty! A part from all the good stuff we've all know about Garlic, it just tastes delicious and its a staple in some of the best cuisines around the world. Our garlic comes from Marlborough and its slow roasted at low temp for many hours in coconut oil. The aromatic infused oil is used to make our Vutter Garlic, which is dangerously addictive if you are a garlic fan like we are!

Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is a healthy fat that provides vitamin E & plant compounds like polyphenols and carotenoids.  It may reduce cholesterol, improve heart health and lower blood pressure. It’s high in rich Oleic Acid, a very healthy fat. The essential fats found avocados are essential for digestion and nutrient absorption because they nourish the lining of the gut. It’s an all-round super food! Our Avocado oil comes from New Zealand and it's used to make our newest Vutter Avo.

Vanilla beans
*Used only on the Vutter Spiced

Vanilla is the only fruit-bearing member of the orchid family. The large orchid plant bears a small flower that must be hand pollinated on the day of opening. After pollination, in approximately nine months a fully-grown green bean is ready to be picked. The green bean then undergoes a complex process of drying and curing where the flavour develops and the bean turns dark brown.

Heilala Vanilla is the Bourbon variety, often called Madagascar Bourbon vanilla. Its flavour is described as creamy, sweet, and rich. Heilala is pronounced 'hey la la'. The flower is the national flower of Tonga. Find out more

Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several tree species from the genus Cinnamomum. Cinnamon is used mainly as an aromatic condiment and flavouring additive in a wide variety of cuisines. A part from delicious, Cinnamon is thought to have many medicinal and soothing properties and is used frequently in Chinese herbal medicine. The distinctive smell and flavour of cinnamon comes from the essential oils contained in the bark, called cinnamaldehyde - which displays anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
